Long time, no post…

I’ve been a little busy this week. It started last weekend with a HUGE purge of junk from our house. Mr. Hoagie did the garage (which we haven’t been able to park in all summer), and I tackled our master bedroom. When Little Sis was born, over 4 years ago, we converted our extra bedroom (dubbed “the attic room” due to the fact that we used it instead of attic storage because our attic was infested by bees, or wasps, or something equally unpleasant) into Little Sis’ room.

So guess where the attic junk went?

Of course. Our room. Temporarily, of course.

I went through about half the room about 6 months ago, but just got around to finishing on Sunday. What a HUGE relief! Tons of trash gone, lots of Goodwill items.

It continued through the week.

Friday, after much hemming and hawing, I left the kids with Mr. Hoagie (it was his day off) and left for the big city for a Photoshop conference. You see, before kids I was a graphic design/marketing guru. I’ve barely touched that stuff since I left, and I though this might be a good way to dip my toes back into the water again.

It was great, like slipping back into a comfortable old sweatshirt. Needless to say, by the end of the day, I envisioned myself with a shiny new Mac and the new versions of all my Adobe software.

We’ll see. I’m still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.

I have reasonably new versions of some of those toys if you want to come over and play. Why? Because I’m sure you could teach me a thing or two! I’d love to hear about the conference. BTW, do you know anything about Final Cut Pro? It has kicked my but recently.

Hmmmm…maybe I will! Never tried Final Cut Pro. Never needed to do audio/video, just stills.
